Ethnic Action
Under EPC Action, we aim at creating a forum that will empower ethnic groups into realizing and stepping out to seize their careers, dreams and ambitions. This will be in form of seminars, conferences, workshops and projects that inform, educate, motivate and create a highway to their purposes and destinys.
Moreover, this sector will play a part in mobilising this group into displaying their ethnicity. This will be in form of ethnic symposiums, cooking contests, cultural evenings, etc. When we mobilise them and create awareness by inviting the corporate world and the public at large, then it demystifies the speculations of the public and raises the esteem of the minorities. A bold step into acceptance and integration is taken which reduces tension and aggression.
Finally, we will work with the state authorities on projects that will open doors for these ethnic groups to work and alleviate the dependance on
social welfare. Many come into Scandinavia with great ambitions which are quickly thwarted by lack of information, scarce job opportunities and a language barrier. This creates a dependance on social welfare which in turn kills ambition leading to redundance and an inferiority complex.
Mr/Miss Ethnicity-Sweden
This will be an annual event which will be a showcase for contestants to not only win great prizes, but to reveal their talents to the right people. This event is about style, beauty, grace, intellect, improvisation, talent and individuality.
The Ethnic Woman
We are dedicated to helping minority and immigrant women as they strive to succeed in the Swedish society. The Ethnic Woman Project is specialized and designed to inform, motivate and inspire the “oppressed” women who are interested in earning an income and empowering their lives. It will assist in creating opportunities for women to achieve success in life and in business….as they say, “educate a woman and you educate a nation”!!
One of the projects under construction is geared towards the Somalian woman and is desired to commence in August 2010.
